How to Exit Validator(s)

A step-by-step guide to exit validator(s) from the dashboard.

❗️

Note

You can only exit Blockdaemon-managed validators. External validators cannot be exited through the dashboard.

To exit validator(s) from the Ethereum dashboard, log in to your Blockdaemon account and follow these steps.

Access the Ethereum Validator(s)

  1. Go to Staking > Stake In-App menu.
  2. To access the Ethereum protocol, click the tile or the arrow (β†’) at the top right.

Exit Validator(s)

You can exit Blockdaemon-managed validators with an active status. This can be done individually or in bulk (up to 250 validators at once).

Exiting a Single Validator

  1. In the validators table, click the arrow icon (β†’) next to the validator you want to exit.
  1. A validator modal will appear. Click Exit Validator to begin the validator exit process.
  1. Review the validator address you wish to exit, then click Confirm Validator Exit to confirm your action.

If you do not have permission to exit the validators, click Request Permission to contact your Customer Success Manager.

  1. The validator will now enter the exiting queue, which may take several days. You can view the current length of the exit queue on the Ethereum Dashboard.

Exiting Multiple Validators (Bulk Exit)

  1. Select the validators you want to exit in the table.
  2. Click Exit Selected Validators at the top.
  1. Review your selected validators and click Confirm Validator Exit.

If you do not have permission to exit the validators, click Request Permission to contact your Customer Success Manager.

  1. Once initiated, the exiting process may take some time to complete. At this stage, the validators will have an β€œExiting” status.

Remove Validator

You can only remove external validator via the validator modal. Please note that removing a validator from the list will not delete the validator or affect its subscription, earnings, or staked balances.
