How to Connect to Cardano

Note

Cardano does not provide regular RPC endpoints by default. To address this, Ogmios offers an RPC-like interface connected to Cardano's mini-protocols.

Ogmios can be enabled for full nodes.

How to Access Cardano Credentials

If you haven't configured a node, learn how to deploy one here.

  1. Log intoĀ the Blockdaemon app.
  2. Select Nodes & RPC from the sidebar menu
  3. Go to the My Nodes tab and select the Cardano node you want to connect to.
  4. Under the Connect tab, you’ll find:
    1. Endpoint URL
    2. Auth String
    3. Auth Token

  • Replace YOUR_ENDPOINT_URL with the Endpoint URL in the Blockdaemon app.
  • Replace YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN with the Auth Token in the Blockdaemon app.
  • Replace YOUR_METHOD with your chosen method.
  • Replace METHOD_PARAMS with your selected RPC parameters.

2. How to Connect via WebSocket
