1. How to Connect via cURL

Here’s how you add your access credentials to a cURL request:

curl -X POST 'YOUR_ENDPOINT_URL' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -H 'X-Auth-Token: YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN' \
  --data-raw '{
    "id": 1,
    "jsonrpc": "2.0",
    "method": "RPC_METHOD",
    "params": [METHOD_PARAMS]
  }'
  • Replace YOUR_ENDPOINT_URL with the Endpoint URL in the Blockdaemon app.
  • Replace YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN with the Auth Token found in the Blockdaemon app.
  • Replace RPC_METHOD with your chosen RPC method.
  • Replace METHOD_PARAMS with the necessary parameters for your RPC.

2. How to Connect via GraphQL

curl -X POST 'https://YOUR_ENDPOINT_URL/graphql' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -H 'X-Auth-Token: YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN' \
  --data-raw '{
    "query": "{ block(number: ######) { hash transactionCount timestamp } }"
  }'

👍

Note:

For details on how to query a node, refer to the Ethereum - How To Query a Node documentation.

3. How to Connect via WebSocket

wscat -H "X-Auth-Token: YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN" -c wss://YOUR_ENDPOINT_URL:8443/websocket

📘

Note:

wscat is a tool that can connect over websockets and may need to be installed. You can use your preferred tool of choice.
