How to Connect to Kusama

Learn how easy it is to connect to the Kusama blockchain via RPC or WebSocket with Blockdaemon.

How to access Your Blockdaemon Kusama Credentials

Once you have purchased your Blockdaemon Kusama infrastructure, you can access your credentials:

  1. Log into the Blockdaemon app.
  2. In the Blockchain Access menu, click Nodes.
  3. Click the Kusama node.
  4. Click the Connect tab.

In the Connection Information area, you'll find the following:

  • Your Endpoint URL
  • Your Auth Token

Kusama HTTP RPC Connection via cURL

Here's how you add your access credentials to a cURL request.

  • Replace YOUR_ENDPOINT_URL with the Endpoint URL in the Blockdaemon app.
  • Replace YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN with the Auth Token in the Blockdaemon app.
  • Replace YOUR_RPC_METHOD with your chosen RPC method

Kusama Connection via WebSocket

Here's how you add your access credentials to a WebSocket connection request:

  • Replace YOUR_ENDPOINT_URL with the Endpoint URL in the Blockdaemon app.
  • Replace YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN with the Auth Token in the Blockdaemon app.

Kusama Connection via Sidecar API

Here's how you add your access credentials to a cURL request:
