Validator Batches - Gas Usage

Learn about recommended gas limits when staking ETH with the Blockdaemon's Staking API.

When launching new Ethereum validators, using the batched transactions with the Staking API saves time and gas compared to the official deposit contract.

You can save over 50% on gas usage when launching 250 validators with Blockdaemon.

Recommended Gas Limits

The Post Stake Intent endpoint allows you to stake to 250 validators using our audited batch deposit contract.

We recommend you use the following gas limits when staking ETH with the Staking API:

 # of validators to launch via Blockdaemon APIRecommended setting for gas limit (in GWEI)
1100,000
2200,000
5300,000
10400,000
25900,000
501,700,000
1003,300,000
1504,800,000
2006,300,000
2507,900,000

Note:

  • Recommended gas limit contains buffer and is rounded up for convenience; you only pay for actual gas used.
  • gas used varies slightly due to different parameters at execution time, and the USD price to launch validators depends on the gas price and ETH/USD value.
