# Cosmos via Tendermint RPC API

**Step 1:** To access Cosmos Tendermint RPC, use the native access endpoint with `tendermint-rpc` at the end:

* **Network:** Cosmos Mainnet
* **Request Type:** GET

https://svc.blockdaemon.com/cosmos/mainnet/native/tendermint-rpc
```

**Step 2:** Authenticate your request using your API key. You can include the API key using either of the following headers:

```curl Bearer Token
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
```

```curl X-API-Key
X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY
```

**Step 3:** Specify a Tendermint method in the request body:

Here is a cURL example for using `health` to get a node heartbeat for Cosmos Mainnet:
